Our teen programs are designed to offer exciting engaging activities that promote personal growth leadership and community involvement. If you have a passion for mentorship and community this is the perfect role for you!
As the Teen Programs Instructor you will perform a variety of duties associated with instructing or leading youth and teen recreation program which may include work with teen advisory to town council.
Employees at this level provide specialized instruction and program supervision which may include the coordination of schedules and activities in the assigned area.
ANTICIPATED WORK SCHEDULE:
Part-time to include nights and weekends as needed. Teen programs primarily take place on evenings and weekends with some options for daytime shifts when local schools have scheduled days off.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of: To perform this job successfully an individual must demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills and must possess expert knowledge of the principles practices trends and methods of recreational operations and programming in a community setting. Knowledge of guidelines and regulations related to Department Town County State and Federal policies and procedures also required.
Skills in: Initiative and decision-making; verbal and written communication; supervision leadership and interpersonal relationships; basic financial methods of recreational programming; outstanding customer service to a diverse population; administrative functions; time management meeting deadlines responding to internal and external requests in a timely manner; the use of standard office equipment computers and various software programs; positive and professional working relationships with all Town staff and the community; conflict resolution; handling controversial issues; comprehending instruction correspondence and policies and procedures; problem solving; remaining composed in emergency situations and working effectively under stressful circumstances; performing CPR First Aid and AED to level of certification.
Environmental Factors:
Work is performed in a standard recreational facility environment. Work may involve competing demands and performing multiple tasks.
Physical Factors:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and occasionally lift storage boxes and equipment of 20lbs or more.
