Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects taking into account materials labor and overhead costs.
Review and analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate project budgets and timelines.
Maintain a database of labor rates material prices and subcontractor quotes.
Provide support during the bidding process including responding to requests for information (RFIs) and clarifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Construction Management or a related field preferred.
5 or more years of related experience in the electrical construction industry.
5 or more years of proven experience in electrical estimating in commercial and industrial.
Complete understanding of design drawings specs proposals and other elements related to estimates for projects.
Strong understanding of electrical systems construction methods materials and industry practices on commercial/industrial projects.
Knowledge of the NEC NFPA 70E and other related electrical codes and standards.
Proficient in estimation software (Accubid Anywhere MS Office Suite (Excel Word).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients suppliers and project team members.
Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
