EMT/Athletic Trainer

FPS is currently working with DESEs Statewide System of Support to plan and implement turnaround strategies at two (2) of its schools.
The vision of each of the Fitchburg Public Schools is to provide learning experiences that engage all students in achieving high academic standards while developing intellectual rigor creative interest and social characteristics that prepare them for the challenges of living successfully and productively as citizens of this new century.
The EMT/Athletic Trainer reporting to the Athletic Director and through a lens of equity provides student-athletes an opportunity to participate in an extracurricular activity that will extend the learning occurring in the regular curriculum. This is done by ensuring safe and effective performance through preconditioning conditioning and reconditioning treatment.
Qualifications:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
TheEMT/Athletic Trainer will;
Salary: $4800 a season hired for the school year (3 sports seasons)
Reports to: Athletic Director/Principal
Evaluated by: Athletic Director/Principal
Terms of Employment/Salary/Work Year:
The Athletic Trainer is a non-aligned full-time exempt employee. Schedule and hours are to be determined by mutual agreement at the time of hire.
Terms of employment including salary are negotiated individually with the Superintendent of Schools. Specific schedule to be determined by the Athletic Director.
Competitive and comprehensive health benefits are offered through the City of Fitchburg; offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of NCBC (fingerprinting) and CORI prior to your start of employment.
