Job Description
RISE Academy is an alternative high school within Lawrence Public Schools. RISE is a trauma-informed school grounded in restorative justice that values relationships and mutual respect with the belief that all students want to be successful in school. RISE students learn in a competency-based structure in an academic and social-emotional program that works to prepare students for an ever-changing world after high school. RISE Academy incorporates competency-based education the project-based learning restorative justice trauma informed practices and the belief that all students want to be : Develop and deliver engaging lessons in business-related subjects aligned with state standards and school courses such as: Introduction to Business Entrepreneurship Marketing Business Law Accounting and Personal technology simulations and project-based learning into 21st-century skills including communication collaboration and critical students for business competitions certification exams and/or academic and career guidance related to business with local businesses or organizations to support real-world learning and evaluate student progress through assessments projects and accurate records of student grades attendance and a positive and professional classroom culture conducive to in faculty meetings parent conferences professional development and school events.
