Position Summary
The Harness Accounting team is searching for our next Director Global Payroll. Are you excited by the idea of joining a high-growth SaaS start up Are you a wizard at Global payroll management and have excellent attention to details If so this might be the perfect opportunity for you!
This role will report directly to the VP Corporate Controller and will function as a key leader on the Accounting team. You will participate in developing a world class payroll process manage payroll and compliance matters assist with financial audits scale the payroll function and play an important role in supporting people operations. Were looking for teammates who are systems-oriented customer service oriented and knowledgeable in their area of expertise.About The Role
- Own the global payroll process and make improvements to drive efficiency
- Partner with the People Ops and Talent team to ensure proper data integrity between systems
- Manage international payroll submissions with local partners
- Prepare accounting journal entries and reconciliations to facilitate month end
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding payroll inquiries
- Manage payroll related audits including 401k audits
- Manage Federal State and local payroll tax requirements
- Drive audit preparation for areas related to payroll
- Drive improvements to payroll workflows
- Assist with system implementations
- Improve internal controls for IPO readiness
About You
- Bachelors degree in accounting/finance
- 5 years of payroll manager experience
- Experience with international payroll: UK IND AUS DEU etc
- Strong compliance background of payroll laws and practices
- Systems savvy experience with major payroll software provider
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Advanced skills with Google sheets
- Builder at heart and thrives in fast paced environment
- Experience with scaling companies

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $180000 and $195000annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location level relevant experience and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. The compensation package for this position may also include equity and benefits.
