Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedCommercial Property Claims Managerto lead and manage the commercial property claims team. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end claims process ensuring timely and fair resolution of claims maintaining regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership technical expertise in commercial property insurance and a proactive approach to claims management.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise mentor and develop a team of commercial property claims adjusters and support staff.
  • Set performance goals conduct regular evaluations and provide coaching and training.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Claims Oversight

  • Manage all levels of commercial property claims from initial report through resolution.
  • Ensure accurate coverage analysis investigation evaluation negotiation and settlement.
  • Review and approve reserves and settlements within authority levels.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex claims and customer concerns.
  • Collaborate with underwriters legal counsel brokers and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure a positive claims experience.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies industry regulations and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and report on claims metrics trends and performance indicators.
  • Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline claims processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and leverage technology to enhance claims handling.

Other Duties as Assigned

      • Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as required to support departmental and organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 710 years of experience in commercial property claims with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial property insurance policies coverage and claims handling practices.
  • Strong analytical negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with catastrophe (CAT) claims and large loss management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions.

Education

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent.
