Job Description
Project Selborne is a Transformational Training programme with a strategic goal of modernising Royal Navy training to deliver better trained sailors to the front line faster.
Your primarily role will be to deliver training on Mathematics (Level 3 & 4) and potentially Physics (Level 3 4 & 5) in support of the Royal Navy to degree level in HMS Collingwood to support those doing their Foundation Degrees in Engineering.
This is a term time only role with 2 weeks leave at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August.
Due to the nature of this role you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

What youll be doing
- Delivering advanced Mathematics(Levels 35) to Royal Navy personnel at HMS Collingwood and periodically (every 2 years for 3 weeks) at HMS Drake (Hydrography Department).
- If qualified Deliver Physics (Level 3 4 & 5)
- Supporting continuous improvementin training quality performance and teaching practices including the integration of learning technologies.
- Contributing to transformation initiatives particularly within learning service delivery aligning with broader programme objectives.
- Leveraging experience in defence training environments ideally within the Royal Navy to enhance instructional effectiveness.
- Building strong customer relationshipsand collaborate across functional teams to support service delivery and performance improvements.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Maths Degree
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- Physics qualification to at least GCSE level
- Previous teaching experience would be highly desirable
- Teaching qualification to at leave level 3 would be advantageous
- Understanding of the Royal Navy
About Selborne
Selborne is a wide scale 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN. The consortia of partners known as Team Fisher includes Raytheon UK Fujitsu and University of Lincoln together with 14 other UK-based suppliers.
