Manage design and develop web-based courses and multimedia/web enhanced technical assistance and support to faculty staff and students while developing multimedia materials.
Essential Functions:
30% Manage design and develop web-based courses and multimedia/web enhanced instruction.
25% Provide support to faculty graduate students and staff regarding the proper use of the web management system and other web/multimedia tools. Coordinate multimedia projects by scheduling deadlines/meetings assigning tasks to graduate assistants staff and evaluating the projects progress.
25% Create multimedia instructional materials by utilizing visual design graphic creation digital image manipulation/enhancement audio/video creation and animation.
10% Manage on-line web-based management system in order to develop on-line materials for different colleges/departments on campus.
5% Coordinate instructional designers and faculty members on web-based and multi-media projects.
5% Presentations at regional/national conferences regarding multimedia authoring and distance learning are encouraged. Publishing research-based articles and books on computer-based education multimedia authoring and distance learning are encouraged.
Required Qualifications:
Requires a relevant bachelors degree.
Requires a minimum of 4 years experience working with instructional design methods and web/multimedia development is required.
Ability to manage projects adapt to technological changes and utilize technology for instruction or presentation is necessary.
Responsible for directing and monitoring the work of student and/or temporary workers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants should a high degree of familiarity with Apple Final Cut Pro and the Adobe Creative suite for editing and creating video and audio content along with photos and other graphics. Applicants should be proficient in utilizing a variety of audio and video recording equipment and techniques. Applicants should feel comfortable using Microsoft Teams (or similar) for communication and collaboration and should have strong file management and time management skills.
