Job Description

Reports To: Associate Supt. for School Leadership and Improvement

Duty Days:238 Days

Wage/Hour Status:Non-Exempt

Pay Grade: AS04

Qualifications:

College hours high school diploma

Successful work experience in a school/office setting

Proficient software experience with Microsoft Office Suite and web based applications excellent organization communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to self-motivate

Initiative and good judgment in working with people Excellent telephone and public relations skills Flexible in work situations

Ability to follow procedures with minimal supervision

Work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality

Primary Purpose:

Work under the direction of the Associate Superintendent for School Leadership and Improvement to manage Attendance and After School Programs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Division of School Leadership and Support in the implementation of campus/district initiatives.
  2. Assist with thedistrict attendance and enrollment process including verifying paperwork accuracy. Update district attendance manual annually and state codes.
  3. Provide leadership and training for Average Daily Attendance Clerks (ADAs) and campus administrators regarding state and local policy interpretation related to attendance issues.
  4. Coordinate attendance and enrollment support with the Coordinator of Enrollment Registration and Attendance.
  5. Assist campuses and School Leadership Coordinators with attendance and enrollment forms pertaining to Attendance Improvement Plan (AIP) process.
  6. Manage the ADA communication. Coordinate with technology.
  7. Review and analyze student data to support attendance and summer school. Must be proficient in technology/programs for related areas.
  8. Provide regular reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Campus Support and Assistant Superintendents regarding areas of responsibility.
  9. Research review and revise procedural information relevant to assigned responsibilities.
  10. Participate as appropriate in the training of campus staff in areas regarding campus administrative support.
  11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Personal computer/laptop printer copier/fax machine scanner calculator

Working Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions. Lifting and moving boxes. Prolonged use of a computer.
