Job Description
Position:English Teacher @ Newark High School Requested by: Tom Bowman Approved by: Barbara Quackenbush Qualifications/Requirements: Applicant must:hold valid Ohio High School certificate/license for English or Integrated Language Arts 7-12be aware of the social and emotional needs of each individual studenthave knowledge and/or experience teaching a variety of levels of high school Englishbe able to demonstrate knowledge & understanding of the high school student use data to drive instructionbe able to differentiate instruction to all high school learnerscollaborate with colleagues to integrate multiple disciplineshave interest in & willingness to work with students in co- or extra-curricular activitieshave evidence of successful classroom management skills & instructional skillshave experience with team teaching or knowledge of team teaching activitiesincorporate technology into the classroombe willing to teach intervention skills outside of Englishbe able to demonstrate knowledge & understanding of English standardshave interest in students beyond the classroombe acceptable to Building Principal & Assistant Superintendent of Certificated/Licensed PersonnelEffective Starting Date:2025-2026 school yearAdditional Information:Interested candidates please complete OHReap Application and send resume via email to
