Superintendent- Sauget ILThis is a salaried exempt level role.
Position Summary:The Elevator Superintendent oversees daily operations and long-term performance at grain facility. In this role you will lead elevator operations grain logistics facility safety and process optimization helping to ensure the integrity efficiency and profitability of our grain-handling operations.
Position Responsibilities:- Oversee all grain elevator operations including receiving storage drying conditioning and outbound logistics.
- Lead day-to-day site management workforce planning and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA and local regulatory standards and implement proactive safety initiatives.
- Maintain and improve grain quality inventory accuracy and housekeeping standards.
- Drive process improvement projects in energy efficiency throughput maintenance reliability and cost control.
- Utilize CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo) and data tools to enhance planning and reporting.
- Collaborate with commercial logistics and maintenance teams to align production with market demands.
- Lead train and develop front-line supervisors and operators for operational excellence and career growth.
- Support capital improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
Experience and Skills:- Bachelors degree is preferred
- 5 years of grain handling experience
- Demonstrated participation and leadership in plant safety programs and process hazard analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to plan organize and manage personnel schedules and other resources.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and detailed written are needed to be effective in this position. Strong leadership management and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively interact with multiple employees management personnel and other stakeholders.
- Interpersonal skills employed include handling conflict; motivating instructing and training personnel in a fair honest and direct way.
- The candidate must be able to utilize independent judgment to solve problems have excellent organizational skills to effectively handle multiple ongoing tasks and strive for continuous improvement.
- General knowledge of software systems such as Maximo and Microsoft Office applications (Project Excel Access Word and SharePoint).

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
