Job Description
The Middle School Science Teacher will provide the students with a comprehensive academic experience using the Archdiocesan and State of Maryland Science curriculum for grades 6-8. This is a full-time benefit-eligible 10-month teaching position. The ideal candidate would have prior experience in facilitating student-led laboratory opportunities and would be comfortable leading students through the scientific research process.
Essential Functions
- Maintains high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teaching of the Catholic Church.
- Plans and implements instructional programs with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocese of Baltimore and the State of MD Standards.
- Creates an instructional environment conducive to learning.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of students progress and development in a timely manner.
- Communicated standards achievements and deficiencies to students and parents through email phone calls conferences and electronic grade book.
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students both in and outside of the classroom.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required.
- MSDE Certification or the willingness to obtain certification required.
- Classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Proficient in using a variety of technology.
Range: $48000 - $72000 Annualized
