Job Description

The Talent Specialist role provides essential administrative support and coordination to the Learning and Talent Development (L&TD) function and across the global talent function. This role is responsible for providing support for the coordination planning and measurement of initiatives and programs in learning and talent development to ensure optimal employee experience and team effectiveness to advance employee development and engagement.

This is a key operational role on the L&TD team with responsibilities that range from scheduling of L&TD (virtual and live in person sessions) programs to assisting with preparing program training materials and including onsite physical set-up of learning development sessions to ensure that arrangements are actioned accurately with attention to detail and efficiently effectively and within budget.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager Learning and Talent Development this role will partner with team members in talent management talent acquisition communications DEI and the broader HR community. Together the ideal candidate will support the engagement development and retention of talent through supporting the learning and development strategy.

  • Provides administrative support and coordination to L&TD and Talent Management teams for cross-training on learning & talent systems (e.g. Clifton Gallup Assessment platform Workday LMS administration reporting and delivery LinkedIn Learning Wistia (AV recording archive) (where appropriate and serving as primary or providing back-up support as needed.
  • Primary contact for scheduling including yet not limited to L&TD business raining consulting request meetings L&TD team huddles.
  • Serves as primary contact Talent and Learning emails ensuring requests received are actioned or directed for action within 48 hours.
    • Supports Sr. Manager in release of L&TD program communications within talent and across HR and the CDK organization.
      • Ongoing management of participant communications and support.
      • Assists in communications with internal and external trainers venues suppliers delegates and managers.
  • Provides consistent coordination for successful execution of global L&TD talent events initiatives learning talent development programs.
    • Administrative lead supporting L&TD delivery/facilitation of CDK enterprise program sessions to include yet not limited to the following: CDK Values Sessions Leader Acceleration Program (LAP) Intake sessions Manager Empowerment Program Mentor Program and the Senior Leadership Program.
    • Ongoing coordination of equipment and materials for L&TD sessions.
    • Partnering with ELT Executive Assistants on HOF/Austin internal room reservations
    • Coordinate internal resources for meetings and organize catering.

  • Assists with L&TD related ad-hoc talent and enterprise priorities (as needed) that include yet are not limited to the following:
    • Partnering with CDK Events planning in support of sourcing venues establishing room reservations ordering/delivering supplies overseeing catering needs and providing location event support.
    • Documenting L&TD processes related to systems to provide operational consistency and support team cross-training
    • General administrative and clerical duties assisting the Talent Team with ad hoc projects and general administration tasks as and when required.
    • Consistently stays curious and proactive in understanding innovative learning and development trends technology; practices and seeks ways to apply.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • 4 years experience in an administrative role.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organized and effective planning abilities.
  • Customer service skills and relationship management.
  • Demonstrated effective use of all Microsoft products; specifically Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task and work on own initiative across multiple projects while working efficiently and effectively under pressure.
  • Ability and interest in learning how to use systems and process to create efficiency.
  • Must be a goal-driven enthusiastic team-oriented individual with the ability to work together and partner with others to achieve assigned projects.
  • Ability to contribute to promoting an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building acumen with demonstrated ability to foster productive and trusting relationships at all levels.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a L&D and Talent environment (preferred)
  • Systems experience working with L&D applications Workday LinkedIn e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate) (preferred)

Compensation: $28/hr - $30/hr

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
