The mission of the Global Security Operations team is to mitigate security and related operational risks to our Associates Data and Physical Assets. Amazon is looking for an action-oriented individual to oversee daily operations within the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). This individual will triage escalate and manage responses to all events impacting or threatening personnel property or assets. This includes maintaining situational awareness with a global view of Amazons associates assets and reputation.
Key job responsibilities
The GSOC Manager will provides critical support and timely notification to global partners regarding incidents that have impacted or have the potential to impact Life Safety Operations and/or the Amazon Brand. They will assist in managerial ownership of their shift and be responsible for ensuring performance SLAs are met that responses are appropriate according to policies and procedures and for developing and motivating a highly performant staff. The GSOC Manager must also deal effectively with ambiguity and make response related decisions sometimes with incomplete information in the best interest of Amazon. The GSOC is a 24/7 operation and shift work will be required potentially to include nights and weekends.
A day in the life
A GSOC Manager is responsible for developing and motivating a high performing team of Escalation Specialists. On a daily basis a GSOC Manager operates autonomously using discretion when dealing with sensitive and critical information and applying sound business principles to identify barriers and initiate actions to resolve.
About the team
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) provides critical support and notification to global partners regarding incidents that have or have the potential to impact Life Safety Operations and/or the Amazon Brand. We are the central location for critical incident management supporting World Wide Amazon Stores (WWAS) as well as affiliate and retail businesses. We are looking for an agile adaptive and detail-oriented leader to triage escalate and manage response to global critical events.
- 4 years of compliance program management legal governance audit risk/loss prevention or equivalent experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
- 3 years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
