Job Description
What will you do
- Design and implement test automation strategies for enterprise applications with a focus on UI and API testing for platforms such as Encompass by ICE Mortgage Technology.
- Test REST and SOAP APIs using tools like Postman and SOAP UI and automate these using Jenkins and Newman.
- Develop test automation for applications using tools/frameworks such as UFT Playwright Selenium Appium Cypress and Robot Framework.
- Write and execute test cases at multiple levels component integration end-to-end for both UI and API workflows.
- Participate actively in requirements review and solution design to ensure testability and high-quality deliverables.
- Execute and maintain automation test suites; troubleshoot failures and support regression cycles.
- Work collaboratively with developers BAs and DevOps to drive test integration across the pipeline.
- Ensure test traceability documentation and compliance with RBCs quality standards.
What do you need to succeed
Must Have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering including both manual testing and test automation in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience testing and automating REST/SOAP APIs using Postman SOAP UI and automation via Jenkins/Newman.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with automation frameworks and tools such as UFT Playwright Selenium Appium Cypress TestNG and Robot Framework.
- Scripting and automation development using Python Bash or Perl.
- Solid understanding of test planning execution and defect lifecycle across Agile/Scrum teams.
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java SQL or C.
- Proficiency with source/version control tools like Git SVN or MKS.
- Experience using JIRA Jenkins Git and Azure DevOps to manage automation workflows tasks and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in testing mortgage financial or regulatory applications.
- Familiarity with performance or security testing tools.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
