Job Description
The Elementary Teacher plans organizes and implements the instructional program in a Catholic environment where every child is recognized as a unique child of God.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement engaging age-appropriate lesson plans
- Incorporate primary sources multimedia and inquiry-based learning to deepen students understanding.
- Use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Promote a classroom culture of respect collaboration and intellectual curiosity.
- Integrate technology and cross-curricular connections into lessons when appropriate.
- Maintain regular communication with parents guardians and colleagues about student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in school events professional development and collaborative planning.
- Lead school club
- Uphold the schools mission values and policies.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time
Position Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Education
- Current MSDE certification or ability to achieve required certification.
- Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy goals and objectives.
- Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn about the integration of technology into lessons.
- Practicing Catholic preferred.
Range: $48000 - $54000 Annualized
