Data Architect Azure 1015 Years of Experience Preferred Onsite (DMV Area)
We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to lead the design development and deployment of scalable secure and high-performance data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role requires a deep technical foundation in modern data architecture hands-on expertise with Azure data services and the ability to drive strategic data initiatives across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and implement end-to-end data solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Factory Azure SQL Database and Azure Fabric.
Lead the design of data models data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data warehouses to support analytical workloads and enterprise reporting.
Ensure data solutions are aligned with best practices in data governance security privacy and compliance (e.g. HIPAA GDPR).
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data architectures.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members fostering a culture of innovation quality and continuous improvement.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Azure data architecture tools and technologies.
Evaluate and recommend tools platforms and architecture patterns to meet evolving business and technical needs.
Required Qualifications:
1013 years of overall experience in data architecture and engineering with at least 5 years working on Microsoft Azure data platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse ADF ADLS Gen2 Azure SQL Azure Fabric and modern data lake/data warehouse architectures.
In-depth knowledge of data modeling ETL/ELT design and big data technologies (Spark Delta Lake etc.).
Demonstrated experience with data security access controls and compliance frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven track record of leading architecture design sessions and delivering large-scale data solutions.
Ability to work onsite in the DMV area (preferred).
