Job Description

Essential Functions:
- Maintain and clean building and grounds as specified in the School Maintenance Manual
- Clean classrooms between students transitions throughout the day to promote health and wellness in the school building
- Restock hand sanitizers wipes and alert operations team when supplies need to be ordered
- Set up breakfast and lunch for students as well as grab-and-go meals for community members
- Make minor repairs
- Run errands as needed
- Move packages and furniture when this can be done safely
- Alert the administration of safety and security concerns
- Alert the administration of any damage or vandalism to the building
- Ensure that walkways and stairways are free of ice and snow (the school has a snow removal contract with an outside vendor)
- Interact in a professional way with all staff students and parents
- Serve as a positive role model for students
- Organize and order maintenance supplies and equipment
- Maintain a list of cleaning products and all documentation
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Local resident preferred: Trenton Ewing or Hamilton NJ but not required
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Experience cleaning and maintaining floors bathrooms and making minor repairs.
- Valid Drivers License
- Must pass State of NJ criminal history check
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good references from previous employer
Role Requirements:
- Boiler License Required
- Full-Time (40 hours/week)
- Hours: 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM
- Occasional late evenings and weekends
