Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our BodyLine operations. This role is vital to meeting production goals maintaining quality standards and promoting a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong manufacturing knowledge a hands-on approach and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and communicate daily weekly and monthly production goals.
  • Assign work and prepare shift schedules to optimize labor and material resources.
  • Supervise coach and evaluate employee performance; deliver feedback and support.
  • Monitor production output for accuracy and adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure proper and safe operation of all machinery; coordinate preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and lean principles.
  • Provide training to new employees and ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Lead by example in enforcing OSHA standards and company safety guidelines.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track production metrics and provide timely reports to management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (truck or heavy equipment preferred)
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment tools and processes
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or Technical Degree in Manufacturing Industrial Technology or related field
  • Experience in truck body fabrication or welding operations
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
