This position is a one-year appointment and is pending funding. Qualifications: be a certified educator (teacher guidance adjustment counselor nurse etc.) have a minimum of 6 years successful teaching experience with at least 3 years in be recommended by a principal or immediate supervisor to be assigned a in or experience with mentoring new educators high school mentors with similar certifications are : mentor training with district mentor as a mentor to a first-year educator approximately 2 hours per week mentoring a new in annual mentor training sessions. closely with building administrator as in protgs work environment (classroom office etc.) when mentor/protg general meeting on information with protgs concerning school and district policies and protgs to appropriate with protgs to develop a log of support to protgs (for example: sharing teaching strategies classroom observations demonstration lessons modeling professionalism professional development activities team teaching modeling lessons) Compensation: $1500
