Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for building maintenance and a range of basic repairs. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting and maintaining small tools and equipment. This individual will join our day shift maintenance team.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Complete building maintenance and repairs (restrooms lighting HVAC systems painting and pneumatic systems).
- Troubleshoot and maintain small tools and equipment.
- Partner with Maintenance Tech II for preventative maintenance (PM). This could include changing filters oiling parts minor electrical repairs etc.
- Assist in building new fixtures office equipment and other necessary tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Support facilities team as needed to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of working with mechanical systems tools or machines required.
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
Required Licenses
- None.
Skills Abilities and Knowledge
- Basic computer skills ability to add subtract and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers fractions and decimals.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position is subject to Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
