Job Description

IAT Insurance Group has opening for a Policy Support Specialist in the following offices and product lines listed below. The specific level for this role will be commensurate with the experience level of the selected candidate. Please note IAT works on a hybrid schedule working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

The Policy Support Specialist is responsible for processing and indexing submission/policy documents (new business renewals cancellations endorsements correspondence etc.) performing technical and administrative support in accordance with standard procedures. This position is also responsible for maintaining records preparing reports verifying information and resolving common problems.

Responsibilities
  • Review and ensure documents are properly indexed into electronic document management systems.
  • Pull and upload third party vendor reports based on segment specific requirements.
  • Reviews submission documents for completeness based on business specifications.
  • Registers submissions and indexes documents into policy administration system.
  • Reviews clearance requirements and appropriately resolves conflicts including Broker of Record changes.
  • Engages with Underwriting Support and Underwriting teams to resolve issues.
  • Completes policy transactions including cancellations OFAC checks motor carrier filings etc.
  • Process policy notices: Non-renewals Conditional Renewals Notice of Cancellations Rescissions and Reinstatements.
  • Responsible for working with team members to complete tasks in assigned queues.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
Must have:
  • High School graduate or equivalent (equivalent is defined as having 4 years of relevant insurance experience).
  • Ability to work in fast paced high volume and deadline-driven production environment.
  • Practical experience with MS Office data entry and detail-oriented research.
  • High level of attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy of work.
  • Basic organizational time management and follow-up skills.
  • Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal) and have the ability provide a first-rate experience for our customers.
  • To qualify all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require now or in the future VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.
Preferred to have:
  • Associate degree or 2 years of relevant insurance clerical administrative or customer service experience.

Compensation:
Please note if you live in Illinois the typical range for this role will be $17/hour to $27/hour. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the hourly rate for this position in those locations. Actual hourly rates will vary based on factors such as a candidates qualifications skills competencies and geographical location related to this specific role. The total compensation will include a base salary performance-based bonus opportunities 401(K) match profit-sharing opportunities and more.
