QUALIFICATIONS:-Holds appropriate credentials -Bachelors Degree Masters preferred from an accredited college or university in a related field-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing to children and adultsDUTIES:-Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech voice hearing and language impairments and then assists in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community as appropriate-Provides a therapeutic program and develops specific performance objectives to meet individual needs of speech and hearing handicapped children as prescribed by the Evaluation Team and collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy by suggestions for the students daily activities-Maintains thorough ongoing records of referred screened and eligible students as well as individual students receiving therapy or other school-provided speech services. Maintains a directory of outside agencies consultants specialists and related services-Other duties as assignedSalary per the GEA contract: starting at $51282.00
