PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Updates and maintains student information data/schedules and provides assistance for the efficient operation of the campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Certification Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check

Special Knowledge and Skills

  • Data Entry Experience (alpha and 10 key)
  • Proficient data entry/keyboarding file maintenance and 10-key skills
  • Knowledge of compiling reports
  • Effective organizational communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet established deadlines

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year clerical experience in an office setting

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Adhere to House Bill 3 (HB3) and TEA updated PEIMS submission requirements
  • Enters and maintains all PEIMS data input and campus updates
  • Create and maintain all student cumulative records
  • Collaborate with district PEIMS office to verify accuracy of reported data
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Maintain information in the Student information system
  • Generate create and run report cards and progress reports
  • Run computer printouts to include the updated master schedule student information files student schedules/changes school enrollment lists teacher files and eligibility cards
  • Update student demographic records
  • Coordinate the computer programs with the principals proposed schedule for the ensuing year
  • Responsible for the Master schedule process to include: entering student requests updating course and teacher catalog entering and/or updating master schedule running algorithms and generating error scans
  • Assist with School Activity accounts/bookkeeping etc
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on department needs
  • Must complete designated district technology proficiencies each year
  • Requires a basic knowledge of technology/computer skills
  • Ability to use personal computer to access district programs emails and other resources
  • Maintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ensure compliance with the Texas Educators Code of Ethics
  • Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job

  • Office equipment personal computer printer calculator multi-line telephone software programs and peripherals copier fax and other equipment applicable to position

Mental Demands:

  • Ability to read concentrate communicate (verbally and written) interpret reason understand verbal instructions memorize coordinate compile compute
  • Work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent: Sitting standing walking climbing stairs and/or ramps balancing stooping kneeling crouching crawling pulling pushing reaching repetitive hand motions hearing speaking clearly visual acuity distinguishing colors driving traveling
  • Occasional: Lifting moderate 15-44 pounds

Environmental Factors:

  • Frequent exposure to: temperature extremes (hot and cold) humidity extremes noise low or intense illumination vibration
  • Occasional exposure to: biological hazards (communicable diseases bacteria insects mold fungi etc.)
  • Work alone work prolonged or irregular hours
