Job Description
Core Technicians stretches sands cuts and measures honeycomb core material to technical measurements and work order specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide their internal customers with correct products and services on-time.
- Create communicate and accomplish daily department schedules.
- Keep WOs and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and providing documentation to their internal customer.
- Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
- Performs core processing operations per HWI 40801-6 and all other pertinent HCOA Operation Procedures or Work Instructions.
- Sanding measuring and cutting metal to work order specifications.
- Utilizing machinery to stretch honeycomb core material to work order specification.
- Ensure work areas are clean and free from Foreign Object Debris
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in working with metal (sanding measuring and cutting metal)
- Ability to read comprehend and adhere to technical data
- Ability to read mylars/schematics/blue prints
- Microsoft Office Suite and data entry into ERP systems
- Security Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US. If required possess the ability to pass the Defense National Agency Check IAW DoDD 5200.2
4. Physical Demands / ADA Compliance
The employee may be required to stand for a full shift while wearing PPE. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Correctable vision to 20/20 with full depth perception. Ability to pass DOT Drug Testing requirements (49 CFR Part 40). Regularly required to push pull bend and apply pressure using hand tools and operate machinery.
$20-21 an hour to start.
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm with overtime required. Monday through Friday. Onsite only.
Background and Drug test required.
