Job Description
Due to continued growth we are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Digital Engineering Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the successful implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes for our projects. As a Digital Engineering Coordinator you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate model creation coordination data integration and effective communication among project stakeholders. Your expertise in BIM software strong organizational skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment will be essential for excelling in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and prepare 3D BIM models and deliverables with a high degree of accuracy that reflect the clients design intent ensuring alignment with Vertiv standards client requirements and the associated BIM processes and documentation.
- Create plans sections elevations 3D ISO views and schedules for coordination installation and as-built documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers contractors and other stakeholders to develop and maintain BIM models that accurately represent project designs and data.
- Coordinate busbar services within multidisciplinary BIM models to identify and resolve clashes discrepancies and potential conflicts in design and construction.
- Manage BIM workflows and processes to ensure consistency quality and adherence to established BIM standards and protocols.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of BIM content libraries templates and families for efficient model development.
- Generate clash detection reports and work with project teams to facilitate issue resolution and coordination efforts.
- Extract accurate quantities and data from BIM models for cost estimation scheduling and other project-related purposes.
- Collaborate with BIM managers and project managers to ensure BIM deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
- Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and processes promoting proper usage and adherence to standards.
- Stay up to date with industry trends advancements and best practices in BIM methodology and software.
- Participate in regular meetings and communication channels to facilitate effective collaboration among project stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold a qualification related to the post in Revit 3D CAD or an equivalent.
- Proven experience (2 years) in BIM coordination and working with BIM software tools.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit AutoCAD Navisworks or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of BIM principles standards and protocols.
- Previous knowledge of busbar systems will be an advantage but not a requirement as specific training on our products and BIM libraries will be provided as part of the role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with construction and design processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with clash detection and resolution processes.
- Knowledge of quantity extraction and data management from BIM models.
