The Intelligence Support Officer (ISO) plays a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of Our Business by contributing to crime prevention the reduction of road trauma and the disruption of criminal activity.
The ISO provides specialist hands-on support to the Canterbury District Intelligence Team underpinning critical decision-making. This involves the proactive scanning and collection of data information collation and the efficient storage retrieval and dissemination of intelligence to inform effective police deployment along with administrative functions which include manging the bail application and Crimestoppers enquires.
The ISO also identifies emerging trends risks and issues delivering short-format high-turnaround intelligence outputs to inform tactical responses at various levels.
By maintaining situation awareness and fostering adaptability in a fast-paced environment the ISO ensures the timely availability of relevant intelligence to support operational outcomes and community safety.

Utu -tau Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence at $74738.00 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
