A Snapshot of Your Day


You will contribute to our business success navigating a very dynamic and fast-paced environment while solving various technical issues relating to sophisticated gas turbine combustion components. You may participate in daily Gemba meetings where part/project priorities are highlighted as they relate to both standard production and various development initiatives. At times you will be on the shop floor closely working with the operators to create a robust manufacturing process in anticipation of new product release.


How Youll Make an Impact


Own the development and introduction of new products into the Combustion manufacturing portfolio by Identifying justifying and managing projects for improving manufacturing capability yields efficiency and capacity.
Develop evaluate and improve manufacturing methods applying knowledge of product design materials and parts fabrication processes tooling programming and production equipment capabilities assembly methods and quality control standards
Support and/or lead department capital programs (implementation) and department improvement projects
Provide technical support on various manufacturing development processes vendor support development cost models and departmental training for the respective development program
Ensure manufacturing processes are clearly defined and communicated from manufacturing engineering to the shop floor via technical instructions MIs project briefings etc.
Provide technical mentorship and training to operators technicians and manufacturing engineers on the use fixtures tooling and equipment
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
What You Bring


BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment involving assembly welding/fabrication and machining required PM experience is a plus
Ability to interpret sophisticated drawings and specifications including a solid understanding of GD&T
Proven leadership skills in a multi-disciplinary team environment through assertiveness dialogue and coordinating timely actions within the department and by outside influencers
Proven understanding of root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action methods and exposure to lean concepts MRP systems quality control systems
Practical understanding of SAP or equivalent MRP software as well as Siemens NX CAD software or equivalent preferred
