The Ecosystem & Operational Risk team is responsible for building critical risk and fraud detection services at Visa. This includes idea generation architecture design development and testing of products applications and services that provide solutions to detect prevent and mitigate fraud for Visa and its clients.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers Architects Analysts Developers Project Managers etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.
- Understand business requirements and create design documentation.
- Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify document plan contingency track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.
- Present technical solutions capabilities considerations and features in business terms. Effectively communicate status issues and risks in a precise and timely manner.
- Engagement in requirements definition and clarification in collaboration with Business to ensure completeness and common understanding of the business needs is important.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)
Experience in creating data driven business solutions and solving data problems using a wide variety of technologies such as Hadoop Hive Spark Kafka Redis NoSQL as well as traditional data technologies like RDBMS MySQL a plus.
Experience writing complex/advanced SQL queries.
Hands on experience in a Unix/Linux environment.
Application development experience in Java/J2EE or other frameworks.
Experience with Continuous Integration & Development and automation tools such as Jenkins Artifactory Git etc.
Experience with Agile and Test-Driven Development methodology.
Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving ability.
Ability to present complex ideas in a clear concise way.
Past experience with ML technologies like TensorFlow Pandas is a plus.
Additional Information :
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 116500.00 to 164500.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
