CONTENT GATHERER & STORYTELLING MANAGER

Department: Marketing & Fundraising
Reports To: VP Marketing
Location: Hybrid (Based in Alexandria office)

FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Type: Full-Time

The Opportunity

Good360 is seeking aContent Gatherer & Storytelling Managerto expand the storytelling capabilities of our brand marketing team. In this critical role the position will involve travel onsite to identify and document the powerful human-centered stories emerging from our work in communities in hardship and in times of disaster. Youll partner with our nonprofit partners to determine the most impactful moments produce high-quality photography video (including drone footage) and written content from the field turning real-world impact into compelling narratives for fundraising social media PR and brand marketing.

The selected candidate will possess a keen understanding of storytelling is personable and relatable organized and possesses a creative vision. The Content Gatherer & Storytelling Manager will work in partnership with Director of Content Marketing and the VP of Marketing to execute on approved strategies distribute content that is relevant to pre-determined channels and audiences measure effectiveness and enhance content as needed.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Content Gathering

  • Travel throughout the countrycapturing video photos and interviews with nonprofit partners beneficiaries and donors; some global travel may be required.
  • Identify story anglesthat support fundraising donor engagement and brand building. Recommend new story angles as needed.
  • Produce multimedia content: Create story boards capture content via photography video and drone footage and edit content for multiple audiences and channels including videography.
  • Conduct interviewswith nonprofit leaders disaster survivors and community members to tell a story of divinity perseverance and hope.
  • Collaborate across teams especially with the Nonprofit Development Corporate Development Marketing Fundraising and Public Relations teams to determine the best execution strategies and identify optimal storytelling moments.
  • Align contentwith campaign goals and tailor it to web email social and media use.
  • Track performanceand optimize storytelling based on analytics and audience response report on effectiveness and recommend new storylines as needed.

Project Management

  • Conduct outreach to nonprofits to identify the most compelling and worthwhile storytelling opportunities.
  • Maintain event calendars follow up with on-site contacts and schedule travel/logistics as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Position Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant in-field photographic/videography experience.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent bachelors in communications Marketing or similar degree.
  • Proven ability to manage high-value clients to foster and grow relationships with various audiences from donors to members of local communities who benefit from our goods and services.
  • Manage integrated marketing projects to ensure accurate timely delivery.
  • Top-notch verbal written and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to conduct interviews is a musth.
  • Ability to travel in some cases to resource-constrained areas such as following a disaster or crisis where access to Wifi housing electricity and water may be limited.
  • Familiar with digital asset management and metadata.
  • Experience using Canva Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Asana WordPress Dotdigital Magento and SalesForce (or similar platforms) preferred.
