Short description about the role
Reporting to the Enterprise Projects and Planning Manager the Planning Projects and Application Support Officer will provide coordination and delivery support for enterprise projects and planning processes across the organisation. This role plays a pivotal part in driving forward key projects and ensuring clear and timely reporting of project progress and outcomes.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Officer with strong communication stakeholder engagement and project administration skills. The role demands a strategic mindset excellent coordination abilities and a continuous improvement approach.

- Implementing and utilising project coordination approaches to ensure the timely and effective delivery of strategic projects including providing regular status and risk updates to management.
- Monitoring and supporting project teams across the organisation with the establishment management and reporting of projects supporting data governance recognising barriers and issues and suggesting effective solutions.
- Collaborating with the statewide and national PHN networks to delivery timely support for users of existing Victorian and national programs and services delivered by NWMPHN.
- Preparing a range of project documentation such as plans frameworks presentations and other documents. Working closely with the Enterprise Projects and Planning Manager and project teams as required.
- Assisting in the design and implementation of organisational templates and planning tools to align program goals with broader organisational objectives and fostering continuous improvement.
About you:
- Qualifications in Planning or Business Administration (or similar) and/or demonstrated experience in a similar planning/support role. Formal project management qualifications and experience are desirable.
- Demonstrated project support and problem-solving skills including identification and implementation of workable solutions to problems.
- Familiarity with reporting and data systems desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to write reports and prepare external correspondence.
- Experience in the use of the Microsoft Office suite and experience using SmartSheet or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
