Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely troubleshooting repairing and installing equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and proper use of hand tools
- Operate equipment to provide utilities for production areas (compressed air and steam). Operate equipment for removal of oil grease and solids from plant wastewater to meet release permit levels. Able to make adjustments to equipment to keep wastewater effluent within release specifications.
- Able to perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to keep air compressor boiler and waste water equipment operational such as lubrication oil and/or coolant changes filter changes belt replacement pH measurement probe replacement and calibration.
- Able to perform weekly and monthly plant wide fire system functional tests to comply with FM Global requirements.
- Perform plant building maintenance as required lighting replacement plumbing repairs other minor repairs etc.
- Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
- Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment tools and person; reports any injury accident or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
- Support and comply with GMPs; understand and follow emergency action plan
- Support food safety quality and legality
- Ensure the operation is providing food-safe quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3 years of manufacturing facility maintenance experience preferred
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills
- Self-directed team player with ability to communicate effectively and complete projects in a timely manner
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of rotating between shifts as needed
- Strong safety awareness
- Positive attitude with ability to follow rules and directions
