Were on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Technical Manager to join our iconic Ballarat sitethe heart of some of the worlds most-loved chocolate brands!
This is a key leadership role where youll guide a talented team across Site Engineering Reliability Factory IT and Facilities.
As part of the Factory Management Team youll be at the centre of plant performance compliance and asset healthhelping us deliver world-class results in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Whats the opportunity
As Technical Manager youll play a critical role in shaping the long-term success of our Ballarat operations. Youll:
Lead develop and inspire our Technical teamsetting clear direction solving problems and growing capability.
Drive strategic improvements in asset maintenance equipment selection and asset health
Site P&L responsibility for reliability facilities and energy.
Leads facility services catering and cleaning with our onsite provider Sodexo.
Sponsor and support Capital Projects ensuring a smooth handover to operations and compliance with Mars Engineering Work Process.
Continuously improve our Preventative Maintenance program and reliability standards.
Champion safety quality and food safety compliance in everything we do.
Provide engineering solutions to reduce downtime and improve plant performance cost and compliance.
Support operations with technical expertise and practical problem-solving.
Lead the MSE (Mars Supply Excellence) PM Pillar embedding continuous improvement into daily routines.
Build a strong performance and development culture enabling Associate growth and satisfaction.
Lead SIG(sustainable in a generation) initiatives to align with group/local environmental goals.
What makes you a great fit
Were looking for a confident and capable leader who brings both technical expertise and people leadership skills:
Degree qualified in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
Strong background in reliability maintenance or operations in a large manufacturing environment
Proven experience managing and coaching technical teams
Skilled in SAP and other maintenance systems
Solid understanding of preventive maintenance and failure detection tools
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A passion for building team capability and driving continuous improvement
