Purpose: Supervise the day-to-day operations of the program and the personnel involved with it including all assigned staff interns and volunteers.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Staff Supervision:
- Hiring and termination of staff including interviewing and onboarding
- Ensures program staff are supervising clients according to established policies and procedures
- Ensures staff receive required training
- Monitors staff performance and institutes corrective action or training in order to bring performance to an acceptable level
- Address medication errors with staff
- Generate and maintain staffing schedule
- Approves payroll and leave requests
- Conducts annual employee reviews
- Maintains a calendar of approved PTO and LOA
- Ensures that all shifts have adequate staff coverage
- Attend shift change with staff
- Reviews facility log on a routine basis to ensure policies and procedures are being followed by staff
Client supervision
- Spend 80% of time on the floor with staff preforming daily activities for clients along with staff
- Enforce all rules in such a way that the rule teaches the client according to biblical principles.
- Love and respect the clients at the same time being firm and directive.
- With the assistance of all staff strive to create an atmosphere conducive to the development goals of Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge.
Client Discipline:
- Address client behavior when on the floor with staff (i.e. absences contraband language confrontations etc.)
- Provide oversight to charge staff on yellow client incidents
- Follow up with Staff to ensure staff have communicated client incidences to the clients care team
- Program Operations:
- Monitor and track time studies
- Assist staff with shift assignment and shift change
- Work with Client Care Manager and Admin to ensure proper staffing for all events
Personnel Supervised:
- Recovery Coaches
- Program Interns
- Program Volunteers
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong ability to relate to and mentor people with life-controlling problems.
- Ability to apply spiritual principles in an appropriate and relevant way to clients individual life issues and needs.
- Strong leadership skills (one on one and group situations).
- Exceptional ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent assignments with competing deadlines and frequent interruptions.
- Ability to remain on task and follow through projects to their completion.
- Solid administrative skills including organization and word processing skills.
- Documented minimum two years freedom from chemical use problems (including tobacco drugs alcohol).
- Ability to model a lifestyle that is in compliance with Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenges Code of Conduct
- Maintain professional standards of conduct and appearance with co-workers and the public.
- Enjoy serving others.
- Possession of a valid drivers license and a clean driving record that will be accepted by this organizations vehicle insurance carrier. Ability to drive MTC vehicles.
- Ability to successfully complete background check process.
Compensation: $50000 to mid $50000 range DOQ
