Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (React Python)
Hybrid (remote with occasional travel) Toronto Canada
Experience: 5 to 7 Years
Role Summary
NearSource is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (React Python) to support a high-impact initiative with a Fortune 500 product company. This role involves building scalable web applications and backend services using modern JavaScript frameworks and AWS-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and deploy scalable web applications using React and TypeScript
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python in a serverless AWS environment
- Integrate data layers with both SQL and NoSQL sources
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers PMs and QA engineers
- Participate in code reviews automated testing and continuous integration practices
- Support deployment processes and troubleshoot production issues
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React (hooks component architecture)
- Proficient in backend development using Python especially in serverless AWS environments
- Skilled in designing RESTful APIs and integrating with SQL/NoSQL databases
- Familiar with Agile development methodologies and Git version control
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Serverless Framework AWS CDK Terraform)
- Familiarity with application monitoring and observability tools
Certifications
- AWS certification is a plus
