Job Description

Summary

Kingston Hotel is looking for a full time permanent or casual Restaurant Supervisor to join the team at Darcys for our popular bistro while also supporting the coordination of our function spaces. This is a great opportunity for someone with leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced people-focused environment.

About Kingston Hotel and Kalis Hospitality

Following a recent refurbishment the Kingston Hotel offers a refreshed and welcoming experience blending traditional pub warmth with modern hospitality. The venue features a vibrant public bar a contemporary bistro focused on showcasing Tasmanian produce a flexible function space for private events and a well-appointed gaming lounge.

About the role:

Youll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and function areas. From running smooth services to supporting front of house staff this role is about ensuring an exceptional guest experience every time. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Lead and supervise shifts in the restaurant and function spaces.
  • Support staff training development and team culture.
  • Maintain high service standards and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with planning and executing events and functions.
  • Ensure compliance with RSA and venue procedures.
  • Work hours are typically between 11:30am and 8:00pm with occasional later finishes for events and functions.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous hospitality leadership experience (as a supervisor section leader or similar).
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Confident managing a team and running busy shifts.
  • Experience with functions and events is a plus.
  • Current RSA certificate (essential).
