Description
Aerometals is looking to add the following position:
Manufacturing Engineer
Pay range: $35 - $40 hourly DOE
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Develop 3-dimensional SolidWorks solid models to aid manufacture of parts per OEM design definition supplied with customer contracts.
- Draft 2-dimensional SolidWorks manufacturing support drawings.
- Develop lofted model geometry derived from loft data in the form of digital mylars equations and/or coordinate matrix tables.
- Review solid models developed by peers for accuracy prior to release.
- Follow configuration control procedures for release of all deliverables.
- Overcome technical obstacles through research and deductive reasoning.
- Develop or aid development of manufacturing fixtures as required.
- Support Quality Control with inspection aid design.
- Collaborate with production groups and project engineering to solve manufacturing challenges.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the organization.
Qualification Requirements:
Education: Bachelors Degree in an engineering discipline
Skills:
- Strong math problem solving and spatial visualization abilities required
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and common manufacturing processes
- Modeling experience using Solid Works or comparable parametric solid modeling system
- Experience with lofted geometry development desired
- Familiarity with Aircraft Coordinate System is a plus
Experience: 2 years in manufacturing engineering or related field

Aerometals Inc. of El Dorado Hills California is a 40-year veteran of commercial and military aerospace manufacturing. We offer a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning sheet metal fabrication welding assembly autoclave and precision assembly. Aerometals has significant experience manufacturing critical application militarized components to OEM engineering data for use on many fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. Customers include the US Military Boeing Lockheed Sikorsky etc.
