The SEND Quality Standards team is a new team in the SEND and Inclusion service. Our focus will be to work collaboratively to drive up educational standards for children in Cornwall with SEND. You will work as part of a wider dynamic team of professionals with children at the heart of what we all do. We value on-going continued professional development both locally and nationally.
The Role:
This is a key advisory role within the local area SEND system working directly with schools settings and community providers to ensure high-quality inclusive practice and to champion the aspirations of children and young people aged 025. The post holder will undertake quality assurance monitoring contribute to workforce development and provide high-quality advice to drive improvement across Cornwall.
Cornwall Council is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). As part of our SEND & Inclusion service we are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate SEND Quality Standards Advisor to support the continuous improvement of specialist provisions and community-based alternative provision across the county.
Key Responsibilities
This is a public/customer-facing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
This position will be subject to a enhanced criminal record disclosure check.
Working Pattern:
37hr per week (term time only)
