Job Description

Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) a company working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and owned by the funds managed by CIP is currently looking for a full-time intern (Public Affairs and Communication) to join the team in Madrid.

The role

You will be reporting to Iberias Government Affairs & Communication Director and working with the management of the company and project directors in Madrid. Every day you will collaborate with a team of experienced professionals in renewable energy. You will be part of the core of the latest renewable energy developments in the market and responsible for growing the Public Affairs and Communication department in Iberia.

As part of your work you will also assist in maturing development projects in different renewable technologies by ensuring the social licensing engaging with key stakeholders progressing workstreams pursuing value levers and working with internal and external experts for projects in Spain and Portugal.

Responsibilities will further consist of:

  • Support Public Affairs and Communication with the Director and Legal for Iberia

  • Coordinate development and construction of renewable energy projects in Spain and Portugal

  • Follow renewable energy policies and engage with stakeholders to promote industry interests

  • Analyse the Iberian energy market and create annual Market Outlook draft internal reports

  • Design and execute public affairs strategies; engage with political stakeholders

  • Manage media workstreams to grow brand awareness; attend industry events and coordinate communication plans

You

The ideal candidate has a university degree in Business Administration International Relations Politics with a demonstrated interest in Renewable Energy or alike.

We also look for the following in a candidate:

  • Solid experience with Word and PowerPoint

  • Basic understanding of the renewable energy industry

  • Proficient analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a willingness to meet fluid and changing priorities in a timely manner

  • Capable of managing tasks and workstreams performing well when trusted with responsibility

  • Positive and forward-thinking mindset teamwork skills and cooperative capabilities in a highly dynamic environment

  • Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Willingness to work in an international efficient and highly varied environment

  • Fluent in Spanish with professional proficiency in English
