We are committed to engaging and inspiring all members of our global community through our renowned collections exhibitions educational programs and scholarship.
The Mint Museums Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the daily operations of a museum. Interns will work closely with museum professionals across various departments contributing to meaningful projects that align with their academic and career interests.
Available Internship Departments:
Accounting & Finance: Assist with data entry filing budget reports account reconciliations and analytical reviews.
Advancement: Support database entry event planning audience development research and donor profiling.
Archives: Engage in collection acquisitions accessioning arrangement description digitization and outreach.
Collections & Exhibitions Design: Collaborate on design development and planning for exhibitions organizing works of art and interpretive elements into engaging immersive spaces.
Collections Management: Participate in inventory preventive conservation research on collection objects and database management.
Marketing & Communications: Assist in producing museum publications copyediting marketing materials generating content and identifying marketing opportunities.
Digital Media & Web Management: Focus on content strategy and web management using analytic software website content management systems and search engine optimization strategies.
Graphic Design: Aid in the development and production of publications and exhibition graphics.
Learning & Engagement: Assist with art class setup maintain databases conduct research on exhibitions and artists and support family gallery activities.
Library: Engage in cataloging creation of marketing materials digitization efforts and development of web pages for the librarys online resources.
Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA in your major.
Demonstrate a strong interest in the visual arts and a desire to work in the museum field.
Be available to commit 15 hours per week during the 10-week semester.
Submit a completed Internship Application along with a resume and cover letter.
Provide one letter of recommendation from a college professor or employer emailed directly to
Majors in arts-related fields such as Art History Art Education Studio Art Arts Administration Museum Studies Library Studies or English.
Majors in fields relevant to museum operations including History Business Administration Marketing Finance Communications Media Relations Public Relations Graphic Design Digital Media and Nonprofit Management.
Interns will receive a stipend for their work monthly.
Positions requiring direct contact with children will necessitate a background check.
