Job Description

Overview

UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for an Occupational Medicine NP or PA to join our team in Ankeny IA.

UnityPoint Health at Work provides a full spectrum of high-quality health care services for employers and their employees. From primary care occupational health injury prevention and health coaching to mental health services UnityPoint at Work can provide total population health management for employees across the healthcare continuum. At Work is applying industry best practices and new technologies to deliver high value services for our clients and our communities.

  • Established team of physicians and Advanced Practitioners
  • Established practice serving the Des Moines community in three locations: Lakeview Penn Ave and Ankeny
  • Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic
  • Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy
  • Experienced staff both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community

Responsibilities

  • Average of 15 patients per day; no nights or weekends
  • No call
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • General Occupational medicine visits such as new hire physicals return to work physicals musculoskeletal injuires etc.
  • Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
  • Patient-focused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Board Certified
  • Experience in Occ Med Urgent Care ED and/or Ortho preferred
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
