About the team
Data is our fuel at Turo. It is ever-more abundant and valuable but its raw material. Harnessed by data analysts data scientists and machine learning engineers it propels Turo on its mission to put the worlds 1.5 billion cars to better use delighting our customers with matching the right car for their next adventure from an exceptionally diverse selection and at the same time helping our marketplace remain safe.
As a member of the Analytics team you will have the opportunity to explore and understand how millions of guests and hosts interact with Turos marketplace and use data to solve meaningful business problems. Examples of projects you would work on include but are not limited to - understanding how hosts interact with our platform improving host retention identifying levers to unlock supply growth understanding how guests and hosts interact with Turos Customer Support teams optimizing customer support metrics etc. You will closely work with product/operations counterparts and influence the product roadmap.
What you will do
Analyze complex data sets and come up with actionable recommendations test these recommendations and share learnings with stakeholders
Conduct exploratory analysis - to identify new product insights and improve domain expertise to answer complex business questions
Present analysis and recommendations to all levels of the company and work with product teams to rapidly execute and iterate
Create and monitor key metrics and understand all underlying drivers
Partner with Data Engineering and BI teams to improve infrastructure and reporting
Support ad-hoc analytical projects based on Turo strategic priorities
Provide intellectual honesty and unyielding integrity in all aspects of the role
Your profile
5 years of experience in product/data analytics data science or similar role
Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
Experience using Google Sheets/MS Excel and Google Slides/MS PowerPoint
Experience using data visualization tools (i.e. Domo Tableau)
Must be intellectually curious self-motivated detail-oriented and able to multitask
Strong communication skills: ability to decompose and articulate complex insights and be direct when things are unclear
Thrive working in a collaborative environment; ability to work cross-functionally and across all levels
Must have a positive attitude high integrity strong work ethic and a commitment to Turos mission
For this role the target base salary range for San Francisco is $146000-$182000 annually and your recruiter can share more about the specific range for your location. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general our ranges reflect the minimum and maximum market-based targets for the role based on its level and location and are subject to change. Within the range individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process such as job-related skills experience and relevant education or training. We encourage you to talk with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and benefits available for this role.
Turo highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule Turists will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays.
