Description
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Cardiac Monitor Specialist to join our team at PIMA Heart and Vascular in Tucson AZ
Responsibilities:
- Operates implantable device programmers from all companies
- Interview patients interrogate devices interpret and document diagnostics on a flow sheet
- Remote monitor patients devices by logging in daily receive event alerts and summary reports
- Inform/alert the physician to any therapy or pertinent events in a timely manner.
- Contact patients to answer questions or troubleshoot home monitoring connections when disconnected
- Schedule patients into the device clinic as required
- Stay informed about new cardiac devices and algorithms available
- Report device malfunctions codes and advisories to technical services
- Travel required
- Other related duties may be assigned
Requirements:
- Knowledge of implantable cardiac devices from all companies cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Basic pharmacology specifically anticoagulants and antiarrhythmics
- Knowledge of EKGs three and twelve lead as well asInterpretation of diagnostics EKGs and EGMs is required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- 2 years of experience in Cardiology or Electrophysiology is required
