Description
Aerometals is looking to add the following position:
Material Planner
Pay range: $35 - $40 hourly DOE
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Coordinate between Planning and Purchasing to ensure material requirements are being fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Identify on-hand allocated and available inventory to determine pick or buy requirements.
- Coordinate with the schedule to plan material orders.
- Maintain a rapport with our vendors request quotes and negotiate prices and lead times as needed.
- Oversee delivery of materials and follow up on late orders.
- Complete purchase order placements.
- Assist the Material Management department on managing issues that occur during production.
- Advise on material disposition during job closeouts or as needed.
- Handle / maintain Material Masters.
- Review TSM requirements for active jobs.
- Perform other duties as required by the organization.
Qualification Requirements:
Education: Highschool diploma
Skills:
- Ability to stay organized problem solve and communicate effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and time management ability
- Knowledge of MRP and ERP systems is a plus
- Familiarity with inventory systems such as Kanban Just in Time ABC Management etc. is a plus
Experience: 2 years in a manufacturing environment working in Material Planning Inventory Management or Purchasing

Aerometals Inc. of El Dorado Hills California is a 40-year veteran of commercial and military aerospace manufacturing. We offer a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning sheet metal fabrication welding assembly autoclave and precision assembly. Aerometals has significant experience manufacturing critical application militarized components to OEM engineering data for use on many fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. Customers include the US Military Boeing Lockheed Sikorsky etc.
