The Storytelling team is looking for a creative driven and community-obsessed Community Manager to help shape the digital presence of our founder and amplify the entrepreneurial spirit behind 1-800-GOT-JUNK.
This role is about more than managing comments or posting contentits about building a thriving authentic community around bold ideas possibility thinking and purpose-driven leadership. Youll work closely with our founder to share his voice values and vision in a way that sparks meaningful conversations builds trust and inspires action.
From creating real-time engagement across digital platforms to finding new ways to connect online and in person youll play a key role in growing an audience that feels seen heard and motivated.

HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT
- In Hub: Vancouver-based team members work in-office every other week (TuesThurs).
- Core attendance is required from 9 AM 3 PM on these days to support business priorities.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Monitor and respond to engagement across all platforms keeping a finger on the pulse of conversations happening in real time
- Use tools like Sprout Social to track performance identify trends and measure community sentiment
- Surface opportunities for deeper engagement partnerships or moments that align with our mission and message
- Connect with like-minded individuals entrepreneurs and communities to grow our reach and relevance
- Share a daily dose of inspiration and hope with our audience whether through comments DMs or content
- Help create and shape content that feels personal relevant and aligned with our founders voice (video production writing repackaging content)
- Analyze whats resonating (and whats not) report on engagement metrics and recommend content or community strategies based on data
- Work with the Storytelling team to bring our community to life both online and in person
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Degree or equivalent experience in New Media Digital Marketing Journalism Public Relations or Communications.
- 5-6 years in content strategy digital storytelling or community engagement.
- Hands-on experience managing content across YouTube LinkedIn TikTok and Instagram. Knowledge of Substack Riverside a plus
- Basic skills in video editing photography podcasting and social listening tools.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary: $70000 to $80000 (based on experience education & internal parity)
