Days (United States of America)Performs coordination of program services and assistance to Behavioral Health Institute across the care curriculum. This includes handling sensitive reports files and matters of a highly confidential nature. Performs various office responsibilities to include but not limited to: completion of policy & procedures meeting minutes memos etc. and assists the leadership team with compilation of data P.I. appointment/scheduling and maintaining the administrative office functions and acts as a liaison person to the Behavioral Health Institute.
Behavioral Service Coordinator will facilitate registration schedule and perform related processing duties for all patients/clients being served be behavioral Institute in coordinating services with physician offices occupational client companies and hospital ancillary areas. Provides insurance verification and financial assistance information/assistance reconciliation of visit activity accurate posting of charges and related administrative support duties. Position is responsible for verify ingentry of data into the practice management system to ensure availability of information for healthcare professionals in the provision of care and maximum reimbursement.
POSITION CRITERIA:
Must be able to demonstrate effective communication analytical and decision making skills. Completion of registration scheduling and related processing duties for all patients with the BHI in coordinating services with physician offices occupational client companies and hospital ancillary areas.
Ability to efficiently manage time priorities and resources. Provides insurance verification and financial assistance information/assistance reconciliation of visit activity accurate posting of charges and related administrative support duties.
Possesses basic computer skills; demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications. Verifying entry of data into the practice management system to ensure availability of information for healthcare professionals in the provision of care and maximum reimbursement.
Ability to follow instruction use constructive feedback demonstrate professionalism responsibility critical thinking and stress management skills. Collects co-pays and payments from clients (if applicable) and uses appropriate communication skills to explain policy while being sensitive to client concerns. Upon completion of welcome express appreciation for the client visit and directs and/or escorts client to the appropriate area of service in an accommodating and timely manner.
Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality HIPAA compliance
Interface with Psychiatrists and providers in the Behavioral Health Institute. Schedules appointments for Partial Hospitalization and Intensive outpatient Program. Supports Behavioral Health education process by ordering supplies assisting with participant registration and classroom scheduling/setup. Prepares and assembles graphical information needed for program evaluation of all Behavioral Health institute and outside contracts and distributes to appropriate personnel. Schedules rooms prepares and assembles reminder notices agendas and geographical information needed for subcommittee meetings.
Maintains GRANT requirements as assigned.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Associates degree (A.A.)
A combination of education and experience. Will be considered in Lieu of degree
Minimum Years and Experience
Office Management experience preferred.
Minimum of one year previous demonstrated work experience in the areas of scheduling registration typing patient billing and/or medical insurance processing experience required.
Should have at least one year of patient contact involving the resolution of patient/client issues.
Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
Must be able to type 50-60 words per minute.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Access PowerPoint).
Excellent telephone and customer service skills and organizational skills. Knowledge of chemical dependency and mental health is preferred.
Required Job Specific Training: De-Escalation training within 90 days of hire.
