Program Coordinator I

Under Investigations Unit Director and pursuant to Agencys Investigative policy and procedures employee performs intake functions regarding complaints which are submitted against the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs Department of Public Health Department of Health and Human Services Department of Juvenile Justice Department of Mental Health Department of Social Services the Governors School of Agriculture at John de la Howe School of the Deaf and Blind and Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School in an effort to ensure that children under the care of a state agency particularly children served by the child welfare or juvenile systems receive timely safe and effective services and to safeguard the health safety and well-being of all children receiving services.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone and receive electronic complaints submitted by complainants regarding the delivery of services to children by Department of Disabilities and Special Needs Department of Public Health Department of Health and Human Services Department of Juvenile Justice Department of Mental Health Department of Social Services John de la Howe School of the Deaf and Blind and Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School.
  • Receive review refer and monitor complaints submitted to DCA regarding the delivery of services to children by Department of Disabilities and Special Needs Department of Public Health Department of Health and Human Services Department of Juvenile Justice Department of Mental Health Department of Social Services John de la Howe School of the Deaf and Blind and Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement quality assurance data integrity and annual accountability reporting regarding the Investigations Unit.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance the delivery of services by the Investigations Unit. Strictly adhere to agency policy and state and federal law regarding confidentiality and mandatory reporting. Engage in best practices regarding intakes and investigations.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned including but not limited to administrative support tasks requested by the IU Director.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelors degree is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Position requires routine driver duties
  • Position requires frequent stooping/or bending
  • Position requires essential declaration
  • Position may be required to report to work during emergency situations
  • This job requires travel throughout the state
  • Must have valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with investigations intake or data entry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of law and policy regarding Department of Social Services and Department of Juvenile Justice.
