Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a Electrical/Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team

Primary Responsibilities
This position will involve working on various electronic and mechanical products for both military and commercial customers. Responsibilities include wire harness build-up soldering hardware assembly and computer skills associated with product fabrication including proficiency in using corporate production control processes documentation and databases for manufacturing information such as work procedures blueprint interpretation and engineering change requests.
The candidate will be responsible for the electronic and mechanical assembly of various electronic hardware including electrical chassis cable and harness assemblies electro-mechanical assembly efforts and soldering techniques.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED with 1-2 years of prior relevant work experience
- Experience reading mechanical assembly drawings electrical schematics and other manufacturing documentation.
- Experience assembling electromechanical assemblies some of which are small.
- Experience with cable fabrication and general mechanical assembly.
- Experience assembling cable harnesses.
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama AL area.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC620 certification.
- Experience in testing electromechanical assemblies.
- Associates degree in a technical discipline.
Come break things (in a good way). Then build them smarter.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $39650.00 - $71675.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
