Job Description
Martin-Baker Americas Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring products are effectively and efficiently distributed through means such as packing and shipping or unpacking parts received against a valid purchase order (PO) or Return Material Authorization (RMA) and are in accordance with data shown on the supplier shipping documents.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain packing and shipping processes for parts and end products ensuring proper documentation and identification.
- Load and unload shipments verify and manage incoming materials in SAP.
- Process Sub-Contracting receipts and BOMs accurately.
- Ensure shipping documentation is included with received products.
- Interact with purchasing for order changes and certification data.
- Report damaged containers and discrepancies to supervisor.
- Operates WAV (Work Assist Vehicle) when requested and certified.
- Operates fork-lift when requested and certified.
Expected Conduct:
- Take action to proactively reduce or eliminate delays in receiving supplier deliveries.
- Provide clear and precise communication with all personnel on daily receiving activities and potential issues.
- Apply critical thinking to develop and implement alternate receiving of product solutions.
- Adheres to all MBAI safety policies.
- Receive in-house training in the areas of hazardous material policies procedures and general workplace safety issues.
Required Experience:
Four years experience preferred in distribution of product in a manufacturing setting.
Must have experience in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems preferably SAP.
Previous experience must demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision high degree of creativity and wide latitude in execution of responsibilities.
Position requires a High School Diploma or GED
Certified training in operating industrial power equipment is a plus.
