Job Description
Were looking for an experienced and driven PMO Specialist to help shape and strengthen project and programme management across two forward-thinking councils.
About Us
Rochford District Council and Brentwood Borough Council have joined forces under the OneTeam Transformation - abold and innovative partnership designed to deliver smarter services and stronger communities. Together were building a unified officer team that shares knowledge experience and ambition.
The Role
As our PMO Specialist youll lead the development of a high-performing Project Management Office embedding best practices and supporting teams to deliver successful outcomes. Youll work closely with senior leaders project sponsors and delivery teams to ensure our programmes are governed effectively resourced smartly and delivered with excellence.
What Youll Do
- Develop and lead a unified PMO function across both councils.
- Embed consistent project management frameworks tools and training.
- Coach and support project managers and sponsors to deliver success.
- Drive benefits realisation and continuous improvement.
- Lead a community of practice for project professionals.
- Provide expert insight challenge and support to senior stakeholders.
What Youll Bring
- Proven experience in strategic project and programme management.
- Strong knowledge of project methodologies and governance.
- Excellent communication coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive analytical mindset with a passion for improvement.
- A recognised project management qualification (or equivalent experience).
